TORONTO NAIL SALON REVIEWS

August, one of the nail operators, did a manicure and pedicure that just stays and stays. He is so careful and meticulous and does amazing french nails with shellac. In fact, although I am going tomorrow to do it again, I do not need to go just yet and it has been weeks. I am going because I have a wedding to go to. This is the best I have ever had.

NAILS FOR YOU
6464 Yonge Street , North York , ON
category: Nail Care

Although this place is small, the staff are always pleasant and polite.

I've only gotten one manicure here and I was happy with the result.

What I do go here for is to have my eyebrows done; the girl they have on staff is very thorough and somehow manages to make it quite painless. I am always impressed at how much she "details" - if that even makes any sense.

My friend and I went to Joy Nails for a mani-pedi. The staff was friendly and they had many different polish colours to choose from. Thanks so much Joy Nails! We will be back!!

Went here on July 25th, and the service was great. Had a group of 3 and everything went well. Did everything we wanted them too, didn't rush. Overall, great experience. Would recommend.

KC the owner of the place does a decent job. I got mines waxed but paid $13.56 with tax. This will probably be my last resort for eyebrows since I usually pay normally $5-10 for threading.

NICE ONE NAIL LTD
9737 Yonge Street , 209 , Richmond Hill , ON
category: Nail Care

It’s nice and clean and the staff are friendly. However the service often seems rushed and is extremely inconsistent, varying from decent to very poor. Very little attention is given to detail. I live close by so I tried it a couple of times but decided it’s worth the travel to go elsewhere.

I went to Buff Lounge a few weeks ago and was thrilled to meet and receive amazing services from Nick - he is the jack of all trades !! His massages are incredible ...pure magic hands!
I 100% recommend going there and booking with him :)

This place has a man named Vincent. He is a horrible person. He doesn't know how to treat his clients and is the manager or possibly the owner. He doesn't know how to handle business of his salon as he is easily frustrated. Whatever you do, do NOT bring your children as it seems he has a hatred for them. A very cruel person so look out if you go.

GREAT FOR WAXING December 22, 2011

Really great waxing service, great prices for it too, so many other place charge much more for the exact same service. Mention that you're a student and get a 10% discount as well!

They do a good job, but waste a lot of time talking to each other in their own language which is annoying for the english speaking costumers and slows down the service. Appointments end up being always behind schedule.
Aside from that they are quite friendly.

HORRIBLE!!! August 17, 2011

WORSE MANI EVER!!! I have had acrylics or gel for over 10 years and never have I had my nails so badly butchered as I did at their Leslieville spa. The girl had a lovely personality but absolutely no ability to do a french manicure. She hacked my nails off with a nail clipper which left the tips rough and crooked, and that was only the beginning. By the time she was done, I had little stubs for nails and the french was just horrid looking...uneven and lumpy. For the first time in years, my nails are naked so they can grow out and recover from this demolition. What a waste of money...I am NEVER going back there!!!

I`m not the person that writes testimonials but I feel compelled to share my experience with others who are thinking of getting permanent makeup done. Firstly I want to say I absoluely love it. Natalie is a true artist!! I was made to feel extremely comfortable from the first moment I sat on her chair. She thoroughly explained how the procedure worked, helped me decide on the thickness of eyeliner and patiently answered my thousands of questions without making me feel hurried or pressured in the least. I am positively delighted with the results!! My only regret is not getting this done sooner. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Natalie!

NAILSENSE
2712 Yonge Street , Toronto , ON
category: Nail Care

I normally visit one of three Toronto salons for my pampering but do to the reviews on this site, I thought that I would give Nailsense a try. Just two words for this establishment - NEVER AGAIN!

Although I booked in advance by telephone, my appointment time seemed to be a squeeze, as there did not appear to be a manicurist available and I was forced to wait ... first I waited in the tiny entry way beside a propped open doorway to the street, then at a communal table while the manicurist finished with her previous client, and finally while she rushed around attempting to prep the table. There were no introductions made, it was more sign language communication. From the first extremely short nail clip it was all downhill from there. My cuticles were cut painfully short with sharp scissors and the worst, they were cut with a dirty orange buffing block to the point of bleeding, not one, but FOUR TIMES. Some nice blue gue was poured on to each throbbing finger as she squeezed down with no apology and wiped the blood away with her bare dirty hands. How is this clean or hygienic? This was completely unacceptable. Today my cuticles are red and inflamed. Now, maybe when you make a mistake like this once, it's an accident but repeatedly? Maybe not. Either she was under qualified, or inept, or just upset that she was rushed and overbooked. She conversed with the manicurist beside her the whole time and hardly paid attention to what she was doing and was interrupted several times by other employees to answer questions. To add insult to injury, during the final painful "hand massage", she got up abruptly with no warning letting my hand slam to the table as she rushed away to discuss something with another manicurist. Her name was Thuy and from previous reviews maybe she should stick to waxing. As for the shop, it was over crowded, fume filled, and overall a miserable experience. And that completed my "pampering" ... $55 dollars later ... I will NEVER return or recommend this place! Buyer Beware.

Okay, so I used to go to The Nail Shoppe a very long time ago when Debbie owned it. I moved out of province and went back last summer (after many years). The Nail Shoppe was sold to someone else and she obviously let the place go. It was so sad to see how ghetto it had gotten. Anyway, fast forward to last week! I was back in town and broke 3 nails really badly so I walked in to The Nail Shoppe (I always loved that I could just walk in there) and THEY HAVE A NEW OWNER! The place is still under renovation but it's super clean and looks great! My nails came out fab! I had them fixed by Natali and she did some really crazy nail art on them! Go back..you won't be disappointed!

I think this is one of the best salons for nails. They are always welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. They do an outstanding job on my nails, and do increble nail designs if you are into that.
I highly recommend this company.
